About Me
I’ve been a career counselor for more than 10 years in private practice, public job seeker centers and college career centers, helping people who are in career transition so that they can figure out what they really want based on their interests, personality and values, and that they have action plans that pull them forward, have strong resumes and cover letters, are confident about walking into interviews and negotiating salaries and overall offer them support so that they can make the changes they want in their lives.
My B.A. in Global Economics is from the University of California at Santa Cruz and I spent a year at Université des Sciences Politiques in Lyon, France, where I completed a Certificate in Political and Economic studies. I obtained my M.A. in Career Development at John F. Kennedy University in Orinda, CA which included internships at several career centers (St. Mary’s College in Moraga, the YWCA in Berkeley and John F. Kennedy Career Center). I was hired as a career counselor at the Oakland One-Stop Career Center, where I helped hundreds of clients with their job search. During the Dot-Boom, I was a consultant in the executive briefing center and the marketing department at Siemens Enterprise Networks in Silicon Valley. When the Dot-Bomb hit, I was laid off and went to work at the One-Stop Career Center in Sunnyvale, where I was a Business Liaison, networking with human resources professionals in Silicon Valley and assisting them with layoffs.
Petaluma, CA has been my home now for 4 years and I love the community.
